WHO WE ARE

Doug was a lifelong resident of Montana. He moved to our community several years ago after marrying our Activities Director, Susan Handlin. He has owned and operated his own insurance business for over 35 years. He brings to us an enormous amount of experience working with people in various situations, helping them resolve problems they normally could not solve on their own. Doug served as Public Relations Committee Chairman on the Montana Board of Directors of NAIFA (National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors) until moving to Texas. He is licensed to do business in nine states and currently performs business from his office in San Antonio as well as his office in Billings, MT. Doug is also very active in his church, Westover Hills Assembly of God, where he is a Men's Ministry leader. He has a passion to serve people and to see families in our neighborhood continue to thrive as we grow together.

Lee-Sexton Mendoza has lived in San Antonio, TX on and off since 1996. He has worked in the homeowner association industry for over seven years and previously served on the board of another community association before moving to Stonegate Hill.

Lee currently holds both the CMCA (Certified Manager of Community Associations) and AMS (Association Management Specialist) designations, demonstrating his commitment to professional excellence in community management. He is passionate about supporting homeowners and contributing to the well-being of the community in any way he can.

Lee and his husband, Roger, have been residents of Stonegate Hill since 2022, along with their three beloved dogs - Zeus, Yoda, and Dixie. He is also a member of the Community Associations Institute (CAI), an international organization dedicated to advancing excellence in the governance, management, and quality of life in community associations.

Joan is a native Texan born in San Antonio. After graduating from high school, she began working for the United States Air Force. She attended night school for sever years and earned her BA in Management at Southwest Texas State University. She retired from civil service in 2003 after 38 years of federal service in various administrative, management, and planning positions at Lackland AFB. Joan and her husband, Robert, have been Stonegate Hill residents since 1994. She has always been active in the community working on the Newsletter, Welcome and Architectural Control Committees. Joan has been elected to the Board of Directors several times as the Board Secretary. She is dedicated to keeping Stonegate Hill a first-class community in San Antonio.

Jose Constantino Aguilar, also known as Tino, was born in Mexico and came to San Antonio in 1994 to study at Bible College for Ministry. While in Mexico, he obtained his BBA in 1987 and worked as an internal auditor for Volkswagen in Veracruz. Upon graduating from Bible College in 1997, he was asked to implement an accounting software there. A few years later, he attended UTSA where he obtained his BBA in Accounting in 2007. Tino has been involved in music ministry and as a pastor for several years while working as an accountant for various employers and has his own bookkeeping and tax firm. He and his family moved to Stonegate Hill in 2019 and enjoy talking to neighbors while walking in the subdivision. He is currently working as a Controller of Human Resources at Westover Hills Church, where he also serves as a volunteer in the Spanish ministry. He is thrilled to use his accounting, tax, and budgeting knowledge to serve the community of Stonegate Hill. Tino is married to Nelly, has two kids attending UTSA, and enjoys playing piano in his spare time.

Luis A. Hampton is a 20-year residence of Stonegate Hill community, 30 year professional engineer career and a dedicated family man of 25 years. He and his wife have raised two children and share their home with their family dog, building their lives on values of commitment, responsibility, and service to others.

Throughout his career and personal life, Luis has believed that the greatest rewards come from helping people one at a time, starting with those closest to him. This principle, reflected in the words of Mother Teresa, has guided his approach to both leadership and community involvement. Luis recognizes that today’s cultural challenges can sometimes create division and a loss of mutual respect.

He believes that strong communities are built by leaders who are willing to stand for what is right, act with integrity, and foster unity among neighbors. As a member of the Stonegate Hill HOA Board of Directors, Luis is committed to serving his community with dedication and accountability. He views the neighborhood not just as a place to live, but as a shared investment in quality of life. By working collaboratively with residents, he strives to ensure that Stonegate Hill remains one of the best places to live in San Antonio.
