Pool Card Distribution

If you need to pick up a new Pool Card, residents will need to visit the Spectrum Office. You will need to fill out the forms (See HOA Documents>Policies, Procedures, Guidelines) and take them with you to: Spectrum Association Management (17319 San Pedro, Suite 318 - Phone 210.494.0659 - they are open M-F 9am to 5pm.

Pool Area Reservations

If you are planning a party at the pool or recreation area, you must contact Spectrum Association to make reservations, print and sign the lease contract (See HOA Documents>Policies, Procedures, Guidelines), and pay the refundable deposit prior to the event. No private parties are allowed as the pool and recreation areas are always open to our residents.

Pet Registry

We know that our pets are part of our family. In order to keep them and the neighborhood safe, we are providing a few best practices and encourage you to sign up for the neighborhood pet registry. (See HOA Documents>Policies, Procedures, Guidelines)

Playground Equipment

We are very excited about the new playground equipment. Please check out the Community Features page to see pictures of both play areas.

HOA Fees

It may come to a surprise to many of you that at any time, the amount of delinquent fees is over $10,000.00. Overall collections are pretty much unchanged but homeowners should know that accounts two quarters past due can result in the filing of a lien and any accounts one quarter delinquent or more can result in loss of access to the common areas and pool card deactivation.

Architectural Control Committee (ACC)

If you have a project planned, please review the Architectural Control guidelines (See HOA Documents>Policies, Procedures, Guidelines) and get ACC approval before you break ground.

Oak Trimming Season

Oaks should ONLY be trimmed during the coldest time of year and all cuts and pruning must be immediately sealed with a commercial pruning seal to prevent Oak Wilt. Oak Wilt has the potential to kill every oak tree in our neighborhood and should not be taken lightly. Don't assume your contractor will protect your trees - believe it or not, many of them won't so you have to ensure it is done immediately after the tree is pruned.

Tree & Foliage Trimming

Any foliage on or extending through the perimeter fencing needs to be cut back. This isn't just for aesthetics but also to allow the fencing to "breathe". Please note that foliage extending beyond vertical property lines may be trimmed by the owner of the adjacent property without notice. In the event you are physically unable to do this yourself, we'll be glad to recommend a contractor.

Parking

Residents may not park on the street overnight. Street parking is for guests only, so we encourage everyone to make full use of vehicle storage and driveways to keep the streets as clear as possible both for aesthetics and safety. Further, vehicles parked in a driveway may not extend into the roadway our roadways are narrow and for safety's sake, we need every available inch for thoroughfare.

Pool Monitor

Based on resident feedback, we've decided to continue the pool monitor during the pool season. We've incorporated some changes to reduce the costs and to provide more uniformity.

Be aware of Strangers

All residents need to be carful of granting access to their homes to anyone they don't know. The warning also applies to anyone going door-to-door to solicit money or services. Anyone in this neighborhood who is here uninvited is trespassing. If you see this type of activity, you have every right to demand that they leave and call their parent company if they have one and register a complaint.

Flag Etiquette

One of the changes from the 82nd Legislature involves the display of the National Ensign, State Flag of Texas and flags of the U.S. Armed Forces. If you display these flags publicly, please ensure they are flown with the dignity and respect they deserve and in accordance with our current covenants. There are a number of websites dedicated to proper flag protocol.
